Receivers - Gate and Garage RF Receivers

A gate receiver, also known as a radio receiver, is a component that is linked to the gate opener. Its purpose is to receive signals from a remote transmitter and subsequently instruct the control board to open or close the gate. To control your gate with a remote, a receiver is necessary. In order for the receiver and remote to function correctly, they must be compatible in brand and frequency. While Multicode and Linear are the most popular receiver brands for gates, other brands are emerging and may even provide better reception. It is up to the gate opener installer to determine the receiver brand, which does not necessarily need to match the gate opener's brand.
