Question asked: Do I have to have a static IP for this device as the manual shows?

No, you do not have to have a static IP set up. In fact you don't need a true Static IP for the operation of the GarageSmart device. Routers usually assign IP addresses using the DHCP method, which means the router will automatically pull and assign an IP address to the device. Whereas using the Static IP method, the user can then assign an IP address of their choosing (if they want). The GarageSmart device works both ways in DHCP mode, or Static IP mode. No need to worry, it's only language.

Question asked: Can the GS100 be used on a CSW200 operator if I do not have an outlet available to plug in the power cable? I other words can it be wired directly to the CSW200 board to pull power? You sell both products, so I assume you can answer this question and not just keep referring me to the GS100 manual which doesn't answer my question.

The GS100 comes with a plug and cord for its power. If you do not have an outlet inside the gate operator, you can install one (or even use a short extension cord for it, drawing power from the main power feeding the gate operator). You then wire the output relay from the GS100 to your csw200 motherboard where it says "exit" or "keyswitch" or "Fire Key". If you have additional questions please feel free to call our office.
